New investment areas are waiting for entrepreneurs27.11.2014
The Lodz Special Economic Zone has expanded its portfolio with two new and attractive plots for investment. The process of preparing industrial complexes located in Lućmierz (Zgierz municipality) and in Lodz at Telefoniczna Street has been completed.
“Nowadays, not only the location but also the correct preparation of a plot is key,' says Tomasz Sadzyński, President of LODZ SEZ 'The appropriate technical infrastructure is one of the key criteria for entrepreneurs when deciding about investments in any given place. As a result, they are able to get down to business as soon as possible, wasting no time spent on preparing designs of fittings and obtaining decisions from utility providers.'
The land, fully prepared and connected to the utility systems and essential infrastructure, as well as being located near important communication nodes, is waiting for potential investors. The project included the removal of potentially clashing overhead power lines, which were replaced with high-capacity underground wiring. A system of roads with drainage and lighting has also been built on both plots. The investment was completed using subsidies from EU funds as a part of the Regional Operating Programme of the Lodzkie Voivodeship for 2007-2013. Its total value was PLN 14,054,589 (including PLN 5,300,293 in subsidies).
Plots for large and small businesses
In the newly-created industrial complex, plots of 1 to 12 ha are available. Depending on individual requests, it is possible to section off areas for specific investment projects.
In Lućmierz, there is also a total of 10.5 ha of lands available located next to the Number 91 trunk road, 4km from the A2 motorway and the Emilia junction where the A2 and S14 routes (the western ring road for Łódź) will meet in the future. The second complex, with a total area of 12.25 ha, is located in Lodz in Telefoniczna street (entry from Stokowska Street), near the planned junction of the A1 motorway and Brzezińska Street and about 15 km from the intersection of the A1 and A2 motorways in Stryków.
Additional benefits for entrepreneurs
In areas designated as part of the Lodz Special Economic Zone, it is possible to use public aid up to 55% of the investment costs or two years' costs related to the creation of new jobs. The main condition of being granted such support is a new investment of at least EUR 100,000, which includes, among other things, the costs of purchasing land and establishing new work places.
