Thanksgiving Business Mixer in Lodz27.02.2014
Around 90 companies and investors from the Region of Lodz and the American Chamber of Commerce in Poland took part in the meeting with authoriries of Lodz and Lodz Special Economic Zone in the Chamber’s first Business Mixer organized in the city of Lodz.
Participants had the chance to familiarize themselves with the investment offer of the city and region, especially with the New Centre of Lodz. During the trip in the revitalized building, the guests were presented with new investments – EC1 Complex and new Fabryczna Central Station, where platforms will be located 16m below the ground, giving 100ha attractive investment sites dedicated to private investors.
“The future of New Centre of Lodz” was the name of the discussion panel in which significant institutions and representatives took part: Aleksandra Suszczewicz (Lodz Special Economic Zone), Jarosław Bauc (the City Hall of Lodz, Advisor to the President of Lodz), Jarosław Bator (Polish National Rail), Jarosław Kubaś (Deloitte) and Błażej Moder (New Centre of Lodz). The discussion centred around new investment plans and activities.

Lodz Special Economic Zone, which has great experience with both American investors and revitalization of post-industrial objects, was the co-organizer of the event.
Lodz Special Economic Zone offers the highest level of State Aid in Europe (up to 70% of eligible investment costs). It is located in the very heart of Poland and Europe. In the neighbourhood, european routes (north-south, east-west) are located. The city offers also international airport and a direct train to China. It all creates perfect conditions to the expansion of production companies as well as services, especially IT, BPO or R&D.
